Hours
The library is open for drop-in visits and general browsing Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-4:00 pm. The use of special collections (rare books, manuscripts, and archives) is by appointment only, Monday-Friday, 10:00 am-4:00 pm.
Please email reference@winterthur.org or call 302-888-4631 to make an appointment at least 24 hours in advance of your visit. No ticket is necessary to visit the Winterthur Library.
Parking and Getting to the Library
For in-car GPS and online mapping services, use the following address: 5105 Kennett Pike, Wilmington, DE 19735. From the main entrance off of Kennett Pike, follow the blue directional signs along the road to the library. There are five accessible parking spaces and two library visitor spaces directly in front of the library. Enter the Dorrance Gallery and proceed to the library.
